Shorter Bands are part of Shorter University’s acclaimed School of Fine and Performing Arts, which offers numerous degrees including a Bachelor of Music (BM) in Music Education and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Music. The Department of Music is an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Music. Shorter Bands offer performing opportunities for music majors and non-music majors alike, with scholarship awards available.
Band Day
The Shorter Bands offers a Band Day which allows students in grades 9-12 the opportunity to perform with the Shorter Marching Hawks during a football game.
Honor Band Clinic
We are excited to announce that Shorter University will host our 3rd annual Honor Band Clinic on February 1-2, 2019 on the Shorter University campus. The honor band is open to students in grades 8-12.” needs to be changed to “We are excited to announce that Shorter University will host our 4th annual Honor Band Clinic on January 31-February 1, 2019 on the Shorter University campus.
