At Shorter University, Baptist Collegiate Ministries (BCM) is a group of students seeking God, sharing the Gospel, and serving others. Whether these actions take place worshiping at our weekly meeting, laughing on a mission trip, leading a small discipleship group, or playing with kids, our purpose is to love God with all of our being. This naturally overflows into loving our neighbor.
We pray Romans 15:5-6 over BCM, the students and faculty of Shorter, and those who may one day join us. “May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you the same attitude of mind toward each other that Christ Jesus had, so that with one mind and one voice you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
We seek God through study and worship. BCM connects people to smaller groups so that growth can be done in a family like community. Worship opportunities include various forms of Bible study and song.
We serve others and share the Gospel through Summer, Spring Break, and Christmas Mission trips. Weekly service opportunities are abundant. By helping with Kids Xtreme, West End, or Swan Lake students get the privilege of having an impact for Christ on children who may have never heard the Gospel before. There are many other ways to get involved and glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
