Community service is an important aspect of life as a Shorter University student. As part of the Shorter University mission, students are encouraged to be responsible citizens and community and societal leaders. They are taught to lead by example and this is exemplified in the many community service projects Shorter students engage in each year.
Below is a list of community service events undertaken by various student groups at Shorter University.
BAPTIST COLLEGIATE MINISTRIES
Gifts of Georgia Baptists through the Cooperative Program, and the ongoing fundraising efforts of Shorter students and the Baptist Collegiate Ministry, enable us to partner in fulfilling the Great Commission. Through organizations such as SendMeNow, Hands On and International World Changers, Shorter students participate in many missions trips throughout the year as well as during summer break.
