Rome Children’s Choir Slates Spring Concert
The Rome Children’s Choir will conclude its inaugural season with a concert on Monday, April 25, at 6:30 p.m. in Shorter University’s Brookes Chapel. The program is open to the public at no charge.
The choir, which is made up of students in grades 4 to 8, will perform sacred and secular songs along with a few Orff ensemble arrangements. The choir is conducted by Dr. Patty Nelson, assistant professor of music and director of music education at Shorter University.
During its inaugural season, the choir has sung in Shorter University’s Feaste of Caroles, in a Christmas program, in the Shorter Symphonic Winds Concert, and at New Armuchee Baptist Church.
