Ms. Nancy Ely Mount is Assistant Professor of Business in the Ledbetter College of Business at Shorter University. She holds a bachelor of business management from Shorter University, a master of science in management from Faulkner University, and is ABD in her Ph.D. studies in Marketing from North Central University. She served as an adjunct instructor at Shorter from 2000 – 2007 and moved to full time faculty in Fall of 2007.
Prior to coming to Shorter University, she worked in the marketing industry with the Institute for Professional Development and Sam’s Club and also had her own bookkeeping business while raising six children.
Ms. Mount teaches various marketing courses such as principles of marketing, consumer behavior, advertising, personal selling, and marketing management. Her main areas of interest include consumer behavior and retailing.
She says she enjoys teaching at Shorter because it provides the opportunity to engage with students in areas previously unvisited; hopefully resulting in a greater understanding of themselves and God’s plan for their lives.
