“Dr. Allee was the best professor and boss anyone could ever ask for. He is truly an inspiration and shining example of what it means to be a Shorter Hawk.” – Mr. Clint Helms, Class of 2007
Who doesn’t have a “Doc” story? Who doesn’t fondly remember his menagerie? The Marshall Craig “Doc” Allee Endowed Scholarship honors our beloved Dr. Craig Allee, a 1963 graduate of Shorter College who served as a respected leader of Shorter’s science faculty from 1968 until his retirement in 2012. Dr. Allee was also the W. Frank Barron, Jr., Professor of Biology, and Dean of the School of Sciences and Mathematics. Many medical professionals owe a debt of gratitude to Doc, who tirelessly promoted and recommended his students. He is quite an inspiration to us all.
